Be warned

I'm on this kick lately.

I'm hunting down old boyfriends, friends and "special friends". Not for anything clandestine, mind you. I just have this burning curiosity to know where they are and what they are up to. Oh, and we have a discussion going on a parenting message board I belong to. We're dishin' proper yo.

I thought I found the boy I lost my virginity to, on Myspace. It looked a lot like him and his profile came up when I searched him name, but it wasn't him. This led to seeking out others who spent some time on my "dance card".

It's been interesting.

Anyone share my obsessive "need to know"?

I've tried googling old girlfriends, but it's more difficult to find women, as most of their names have changed since the old days.

I always Google the exes when I have insomnia. Considering the fact that I'm insomniac'ed about once a week, I know where most of that multitude landed.

I just can't see the need to do the same, I dumped them for a reason.

I do the same thing. Mine has to do with a crippling case of nostalgia usually.

All of mine seem to have moved to Portland, so I can find them whenever I want!

You can't win with this. Either 1) they turn out to be the numpty you finally realised they were 10 mins before you dumped them or 2) they truly are fabulous/beautiful/hilarious/rich/well endowed (all of the above) and are now happily married to someone who is 100% not you. Try a little thought experiment around these outcomes and see if either leads to any form of joy.

girl, let me tell you, it is fun. I was desperate for a distraction a few years back and tracked all kinds of situations down. I even emailed my first blow-job after unearthing his email address. he emailed me back and we still keep in touch to this day. at first he thought my e-stalk was a joke. it wasn't.

I like stuff and things. I've been married for close to 14 years and have two miniature versions of myself running around (and it frightens me most of the time). I have never been nor will I ever be a vegetarian.
