My kid is weird

Why, with a whole couch, two chairs and two ottomans to choose from, does my six year old insist on sitting/laying on the coffee table?

Because it isn't merely a coffee table. It's a sailboat and a convertable car, it's a fashion runway and a pirate ship gang plank, if it's narrow enough it can also be a horse.

I would like to see this. My little brother used to lie on top of our big ass console tv cuz it was warm.

My dogs lie in the dirty laundry. I think a coffee table is better for a child.

I used to like sitting on the coffee table to play video games. But then we got rid of the coffee table. Now I sit on the floor.

I love the fruit of your loins. I still sit in kitchen sinks.

Elijah does the same thing. He also needs to sit in the highest place he can possibly find, which usually results in momma having a mini-heartattack when I see him perched 4 feet above the floor...

I still own the 40 y.o. coffee table my sibs and I used to SPIN on when we were growing up...hee! It is a bit worse for the wear b/c I allowed my kids the same use of it [my parents would kick our butts for doing that!]

I did solve the problem tho' by buying glass top coffee tables for the living room! "NO! Don't SIT THERE!"

I like stuff and things. I've been married for close to 14 years and have two miniature versions of myself running around (and it frightens me most of the time). I have never been nor will I ever be a vegetarian.
